 Josh K - good boar I caught 12/2/2008

Chester B - Run into this one on the week end, I have been looking for him for awhile. Mutts found him in the middle of the cane paddock and he made a bee line for the thick stuff in the creek as you can see in one photo, where it is looking from the top of the bank down into the area where he was, then one in underneath where he was. Not the biggest, was plenty fat enough, probably about 75-80 dressed.

Scott M - my dogs and a good boar

Sam - I shot this boar the other day. He was very, very solid & big bodied but also had a lot of fat as you can see around his neck. My cousin got me permission to hunt a property where he had not seen pigs for around 15years but believes due to the drought they may be scavenging around in new areas looking for food & water. I went in the heat of the day leaving the dogs at home only taking my 22/250 to look for sign with the intention of hitting it later that night with the dogs. Got there & the big boar was trotting away so I plugged him with a slug behind the ear @ around 80m. Went back with the dogs & got another 3 that night. Would've loved to dog the big fella but couldn't pass up the opportunity.
